Santa Monica Kid-lympics is coming to Santa Monica High School on June 25, 2016. The event will be from 10 am to 2 pm, with registration beginning at 9 am. Kid-lympics promotes fitness, fun and family and is geared toward boys and girls grades 1 through 6, but their entire family and friends are invited as well!

Families can watch the children participate in the events and enjoy food and refreshments. Children will participate in running relay, football throw, obstacle course, long jump and tug of war for gold, silver and bronze medals. An award ceremony will occur during the afternoon, providing a venue for the children to be seen and congratulated by their friends, family and the community.

The prizes for the three levels of competition will include awesome toys, sports equipment, gift bags and gift certificates to local businesses. The event is completely free for those who are not competing, and every child playing in the games will walk away with a free gift bag and T-shirt! There will be a variety of vendors, service agencies and local businesses giving away merchandise and information throughout the day. Many great prizes for parents will be given away during the free raffle as well.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch, but kids 1st through 6th grade who want to participate absolutely must register for $5 entry fee to participate and win medals, prizes and gift bags. All children who participate will walk away with a gift bag.
